Terms and Conditions
By using the services of Laundry Day Care, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Standard Cleaning & Equipment
We provide premium brand detergents, fabric softeners, and anti-static dryer sheets at no extra cost. All laundry is processed using standard wash and dry cycles. We do not offer specialized hand-washing or "delicate-only" cleaning modes.
2. Liability Waiver & Delicate Items
Laundry Day Care is not responsible for damage to high-end apparel, delicate items (sequins, beads, tassels), wool, or knitwear. By placing items in our care, the customer acknowledges that garments may have existing wear, tears, peeling graphics, or a tendency to shrink or bleed color. The customer waives all legal responsibility and claims for compensation regarding damage to such items.
3. Machine Privacy & Item Counts
To ensure maximum hygiene, each customer’s laundry is processed in its own dedicated machine and is never mixed with other clients' clothing. Please note that we do not perform individual item counts; therefore, we cannot be held responsible for perceived missing or lost items.
4. Customer Responsibility (Pockets & Sorting)
Customers are responsible for pre-sorting colors and thoroughly checking all pockets. Laundry Day Care is not liable for damage caused by items left in pockets (e.g., pens, lipstick, lighters, coins) or color bleeding (dye transfer). If an item left in a customer's pocket damages our equipment, the customer may be held liable for repair costs.
5. Delivery & Loss Limitation
- Stolen/Missing Bags: Laundry Day Care shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to laundry bags or their contents once such items have been picked up from or delivered to the customer's designated location, including but not limited to a porch, front door, lobby, mailroom, or concierge area. The customer assumes all risk of loss at the designated drop-off location.
- Maximum Payout: In the event of a verified loss directly caused by the negligence of Laundry Day Care staff, the Company's total liability shall be strictly limited to a maximum of $50 per order, regardless of the number, type, condition, brand, or claimed value of the items contained therein. Laundry Day Care does not provide complimentary services, refunds, or credits for unverified, unsupported, or fraudulent claims of missing or damaged items.
6. Hygiene Policy & Pet Items
- Prohibited Items: To maintain a safe and sanitary processing environment, Laundry Day Care strictly prohibits the submission of pet-related items, including but not limited to pet beds, pet blankets, and pet clothing. The Company also reserves the right to refuse any items that are excessively soiled or contaminated, including but not limited to items containing excessive pet hair, heavy grease, motor oil, or bodily fluids (including urine, vomit, or blood).
- Right of Refusal: Laundry Day Care reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to refuse service for any item or order that presents a health, safety, sanitation, or operational risk. If non-compliant items are identified at the time of pickup, such items will be separated, bagged, and returned to the customer with the completed order. If an entire order is deemed unacceptable and service is refused in full, a $15 pickup and delivery fee shall apply.
7. Pricing & Bag Rates
Standard Rate: $2.20 per pound (minimum 20 lbs). Return clients $2 per pound.
8. Excluded Items
We do not currently accept bulky items, including: comforters, heavy blankets, pillows, plush toys, or stuffed animals.
9. Abandoned Laundry
Items not picked up or unable to be delivered within 14 days will be considered abandoned and may be donated to a local charity.
